Donald Trump Elected As 45th President of The USA ||@realDonaldTrump

After an acrimonious election cycle filled with sexual assault allegations, unreleased tax returns, 'locker room talk' and divisive rhetoric, Donald Trump has been elected President.

Results of nationwide polling in today's election show that Mr. Trump secured more than the 270 electoral college votes to claim victory in a bruising election that some analysts regard as one of the most divisive in the history of the US.
Most presidential polls over the last few weeks had
suggested that Mr. Trump would lose to Mrs. Clinton, his Democratic Party challenger.

In a first, the USA has elected a businessman with no electoral office or military experience to lead for the next 4 years.

Had Mrs. Clinton won, she would have made history by becoming the first woman to be elected president in the United States. Mrs. Clinton would also have become the first spouse of a former US president to win the country's top political post. Her husband, former President William (Bill) Jefferson Clinton, served two terms as president from 1993 to 2001.

In his victory speech t the New York Hilton Midtown in the early morning hours of November 9, 2016 in New York City, he said, "I just received a call from secretary Clinton. She congratulated us, it's about us, on our victory, and I congratulated her and her family on a very very hard fought campaign. She fought it very well. Hillary has worked very long and very hard over a long period of time, and we owe her a major debt of gratitude to our country. Now it's time for America to bind the wounds of division… I says it is time for us to come together as one united people. I pledge to every citizen of our land that I
will be president for all Americans."

Donald Trump will take office on Inauguration Day, always January 20th, 2017 after he would have being sworn in while the Vice President, Mike Pence would have been sworn in moments before.

Trump has been campaigning for 510 days, he announced his candidacy on June 16th, 2015.

Donald Trump had called for racial profiling, especially for Muslims, and has threatened to ban their entry into the USA. Most notoriously he also called for a US / Mexico wall to be built along the border to stave off illegal immigration.

He's America-first when it comes to trade, blaming the Chinese for US economic woes. He is also pro gun, but anti-abortion, and believes that global warming is a hoax.
