
President Bukola Saraki swore in his predecessor Senator David Mark.
Mark, who had been at the Upper Chamber since 1999, was sacked late
last year when the Court of Appeal ordered a rerun poll for his
Senatorial District .

However at the rerun poll, he defeated Daniel Onjeh of the APC
The swearing-in, which was conducted by his successor, Senate
President Bukola Saraki, was done amid an uncommon solidarity as the
senators gave Senator Mark a standing ovation for being elected as
senator for a record sixth time consecutively.
