Senator Kabiru Marafa, (APC, Zamfara Central) yesterday, failed to
appear before the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public
Petitions, to answer to allegations of misguided statements aimed at
disparaging the National Assembly.

Pro-Saraki Senators had accused Mr. Marafa of colluding with former
President Obasanjo to ridicule the senate with the Open letter the
former president pen to the National accusing them of mismanagement
and corruption.
Senator Marafa was a key figure in the circle of senators that support
Senator Ahmed Lawan against Senator Bukola Saraki in the race for the
senate presidency last year, an event which has polarised the Red
chamber since then.
