As a part of fulfilment of his electioneering promises, the Student Union public relation officer of Osun state Polytechnic Iree, Halim Micheal has launched a student information Board.
Halim Micheal who was a member of the executive of the 2015/2016 union unveils the physical project at the student union building in the institution recently in presence hundreds of student.
The launching which was coming after three weeks the student union government was dissolved by the school management was hosted by the former student spokesman and was attended by student officer Mr Gbadamosi who represented the Dean of student Affairs Mr omotosho.
In his reaction to the project, Mr Gbadamosi praised the effort of the union spokesman recognising him as one of the few trustworthy student leader the institution has ever had and in Nigeria at large.
He said "olumiko is a trust worthy student leader, he is hard working and always ready to stand for the truth and looking for the forwardness of student activity''
Gadamosi mentioned "he is not discouraged despite many records of irregularities and fraudulent act that encircles various offices in this regime and he stood on truth and refused to be carried away with money, he is a good example to student leader and has shown to the entire student that leader can achieve a lot without endangering student welfare."
While speaking at the event the former student union PRO said "the board is one of the fulfilments of promise I made during my manifesto in presence of ospolites and I must satisfy them, they trusted in me that was why they voted me in if I refused to satisfy them I will be asked in future''.
Meanwhile at the event, the student officer Mr Gbadamosi who represented the dean student affairs also cleared the air surrounding the rumour of scraping the student union activities on campus by the management as a mere lie which can never see the light of the day stressing that the temporary pending was due to changes in the institution calendar .
"Your union is not dead it will be back don't panic" he confirmed.
In her own part, a student who craved anonymity, commended the former student spokesman stating that this is the only physical project executed by the 2015/2016 SUG body adding that the PRO success was due to his commitment and stand for truth, if other leaders can emulate his spirit more will be achieved.
