•Promises His Fans To Release New Jam For Them.Amidst controversy about who is the real Starboy in the music world, Wizkidayo has promised to unload some new vibes for his fans.
He tweeted on Tuesday, in reaction to a fan who said his fans have been starved for too long.
"Just know I'm about to release some of the best
works I've ever recorded!!" he said on his official twitter handle @wizkidayo.
The twenty six year-old who just ended shows
in Pretoria, South Africa, followed by a performance with American Chris Brown in Mombasa Kenya where it was reported he fought another artiste(name witheld), began the week on a controversy over who is the authentic Starboy of music.
The controversy came as 'Canadian Weeknd', released an album, Starboy, which is making waves with close to 60 million views on You Tube and number two on the Billboard.
Many Nigerians felt "Weeknd" has committed
identity theft, by using the Starboy name.
"Weeknd", real name Abél Makkonen Tesfaye, is a
Canadian singer-songwriter and record producer.
In late 2010, Tesfaye anonymously uploaded several songs to YouTube under the name "The Weeknd". This year, the 26 year old had picked up two Grammy Awards for Best Urban Contemporary Album and Best R&B Performance.
Wizkid started using the brand name 'Starboy' as his label name since he parted ways with EME in 2013, and always shouts it out in all his songs.
