According to reports gathered by Topup9ja, Ugandan police has arrested
a top Reporter working for NBS TV yesterday whilst reporting live for
the broadcasting station.
He was arrested outside the house of Forum for Democratic Change (FDC)
party leader Kizza
Besigye in Kasangati.

The TV reporter, identified as Elijah Turyagumanawe and his cameraman,
Wasswa Hassan, were arrested after a commotion ensued outside
Besigye's home when the latter was stopped by police for attempting to
leave his house, as he-Besigye is under a house arrest.
Turyagumanawe and the cameraman were later released not long after
being arrested but the social media uproar caused by this incident is
incomparable to nothing.
Their have been series of protest since Yoweri Kaguta Museveni
extended term of ruling as the president after the election board
announced him winner of the February 18th 2016 general elections.
Museveni was announced winner with over 5 million votes, whilst
Besigye came second with 3million + votes.
Former Nigeria President Olusegun Obasanjo was an AU observer in the
election conducted a fortnight ago.
